To my dear friend, Kathy Armijo

A Birthday Plan I truly enjoy being with you And my admiration knows no bounds Your strength, compassion, and love of life And an optimism that constantly dumbfounds Your constant caring, your faith in God And you�re beautiful, too These are just some of the things I find most enviable in you You always give of yourself Even though I know you hurt With a smile on your face, a great big hug You�re the one I turn to for comfort You don�t keep a scoreboard Or expect anything in return Just a �What can I do for you� attitude And a heart filled with concern So happy, happy birthday my friend And happy anniversary, too On this special day I need to say That God blessed me with you Even though you didn�t like me at first Maybe you just didn�t understand That God brought you and I together Because it was part of His plan Happy Birthday, Kathy

You bring tears of joy to my eyes.
For the record, AGAIN, I DID like you when I met you, but didn't understand why you called your ex-brother-in-law [my husband] for help. Once I realized that his divorce did not impact the relationship he had with the ex's family, I liked you even more.
You are an exceptional friend.

Happy Birthday, Kathy, and thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute, RaeLynn. An acquaintance of mine wrote a poem for me on my Nov. 12th, 26th birthday, last year, but that poem was "Roses are red, Violets are blue, Happy Birthday to You." While sweet, appreciated, and aired on radio, that tribute poem didn't have the beauty, deep thought, and meaning as found in your tribute to Kathy.

You're a dear; don't ever lose that soft and sweet side.
