You have got to do what you got to do for yourself.
Purposely androgynous.
For dating in the 21st century

Poem Artwork

Maybe it was just some acquaintance,
Or a “Friend” at work.
That put you in this spot,
Now I say your quickness of intellect,
Is the only defense you've got,
To get out of this debacle, and be kind.

You have to work hard your mind,
To try and find some way
To get out and be kind.
Obvious reasons you think of just don’t fill the bill,
Grandmother's dying don't work anymore.
It may take a bit of linguistic skill.
But winning this game is always a thrill.

I have to say no more,
Than you want to get yourself out the door.
Tough call to make,
You could fall out on the floor.
And feign like Scarlett.

Or the friend who calls you in an hour to check,
To say what the heck?
You like this person or you don’t.
You told them to check.

Maybe
You give them more time,
But now something they do or say,
You absolutely abhor.
You look sad and say, “I'm sorry, But I'm tired, and
I am out the door.”

Do not have that problem. I chose wisely and found the perfect one for me. Although I will say it took me far too long to ask her. She's a ten. Only the very best is good enough for me, and she is. Man up and tell her adieu Walt. Better you than I. May love and peace be always with you my friend. Jon Michael

Still, I've not taken that chance, through everyday I feel the wounds of childhood inabilities & angst...maybe in the next life I will have the balls... <smile> -e-

I know exactly where you're coming from, because it's happened to me a time or two. Always awkward to deal with.
