Am I Loving You Too Much?

I saw your face and fell so deeply in love with the beautiful Man On The Mountain

Can I say I love you too much?
That my words become old hat and fail to touch?
I tend to blabber on about my feelings, sometimes I might gush,
Do I rattle like a rock in an empty tin cup, as my love words turn to mush?
When I whisper of your beauty, do you roll your eyes?
Do you chuckle under your breath when my expressions become sighs?
I am guilty of being a poet and a woman, I speak and express love in the extreme,
My kingdom is a place of fantasy and dreams.
I have always saved my heart for just on special man,
Someone that would let me be real, someone who would understand.
When you write poetry dedicated to me, it becomes a treasure,
It is priceless, beyond value and beyond measure.
Well, I guess that is the difference between a woman and a man,
Expressing love and feelings differently and hoping the other will understand.

My kingdom is a place of fantasy and dreams.
As poets, how can it be any other way? I'm guilty too!!
I throw myself on the mercy of the court.

Personally, I can't hear "I love you" enough from the special people in my life. It never becomes 'old hat' It always fills my heart with joy. I know some who love me, but I never hear it from their lips. Makes me wonder why they can't articulate it.

God bless you. I love you. Kathy

Very well expressed and yes as a poet we often tend to talk as we write open and honest, full of feeling and from the heart

S.C.,

There's a fine line between saying it too much and hardly saying it at all. Even so, as they say, "the proof is in the pudding." Blessings Always, Paul.

Inside my teepee will like to be inside the bigger twister you ever feel, because I will come around on your dreams with arms ardened by winds of winters and desert suns, and I will use my own skin to cover your body so you don't ever wake up from your ecstasy.
