Poem Artwork

The world has faded into horror

Visions of all good dissolved away

All hope lays crushed upon the floor

And now I question, why should I stay

There seems no quiet place where I can go

Escape the voices in my mind, my heart, my soul

And in the darkest for an instant there

Amongst the ruins of despair

I grasp for a rusted chard of hope

The morning shatters lifeless dreams

My darkest hours now turning real

Engage the world and all its schemes

Denying self and all I feel

There seems no quiet place where I can go

Escape the voices in my mind, my heart, my soul

And in the darkest for an instant there

Amongst the ruins of despair

I grasp for a rusted chard of hope

Is there no purpose left to this pursuit?

More than misery and lifeless days?

Fading into endless darkness, night’s rebuke

Is breathing now my only friend

A mindless and relentless mate

And should I stop, would I offend

Draw the curtain on this bitter play

There seems no point

There seems no win

Just tortured tears

Just endless fears

One choice appears

The action clear

Grasping for a rusted chard of hope

The world is a dark place to live in for many...the only thing that we can still hold on to is "love"...only the true kind!!

Keep the faith!!
