Not allowing time for a planned correction.
Always speeding through life without enough time in the day,
Abruptly slowing down to a screeching halt along the way.
Boredom sets in,
The days start to blend,
Time to reassess?
Time to discover new interests?
Rather than question the reason,
Take it from one who is seasoned,
Enjoy the lull,
Before your schedule once again becomes entirely too full.
I am an ecxellent lazy bum, so I take good care of each glorious moment of freedom from schedules. Then go back to work and enjoy that as much as well. Well written.
Wisely written. This morning while watching the news, my cable Internet provider failed and the reporter, about to tell me how bad things were in California, froze with his mouth open. Without an Internet or able to use my desktop phone, I took advantage of the situation and started to do something that I had done on my computer for some time.
But when everything started working about noon, I got back out of that quiet, contemplative time and I'm back reading and commenting on poems like yours again.
Indeed, there is something to be said for simply doing nothing at all. Sometimes, when I stare off into space, people look at me and ask: What are you think about"? and I reply: Nothing, nothing at all. What a pleasure it can be to think of "nothing at all." Your poem has inspired me.
