Glad I gravitated to your powerful intense words of the heart John!
I am now a believer of your heart, since reading your Bio! Wow! You intrigue my senses!
Being around as you have, I'm sure has given you a finer edge and more patience around those that may need it!
YOur poem is stunning, it's still shining!
Imageries fill so many areas of a longing yearing heart!
Write On!
P.s. I am following/tracking you as of 2night! When a heart speaks as dear and endearing as yours, I must!
Stay Positive! Like I have to say that at all... but I do!
STay Strong!
Come by and take a stroll through my den doors, you may like and find something you are looking for! I write all gener's- Hope you stop in and stay awhile and come over anytime! :)
Each stanza, and, in fact, each syllable uttered within this piece holds special beauty and allure; however, within the last, the words, "for giving finds remembrance when I fall upon your name," tugs heavily upon my heart. John, you are indeed a master at this game. When the day arrives...and it will...that all your splendor is bound, then I wish to be the first in line for an autographed copy.
The spirituality of the desert and the sea, moon and stars combined to render a soulful expression of love and love lost, and one (or maybe more) forgiven. Beautiful and touching symbolism.

I must admit that I always read your poems more than once...to bask in the pure brilliance of them...
The word play in this one is... well...brilliant!
This is a different style for you, and although I loved the meaning of it...and the cadence...and the depth...and the way it made me think... I can't decide if I like it better or not. :~) (How is that for decisiveness??)
hee, hee... (LOL may be politically correct, but when I laugh I don't LOL, I hee, hee...)
I love this poem, so true and dedicated to all your readers and I hope dedicated authors and readers will absorb it's meaning too, like I have. We must all ask for forgiveness, and go on with our life and live cleaner and truer and closer to God. Peace to you to and have a great day.
To digest that which eats at our heart, depending on its portion...can be a feast in itself, regardless.
To be reminded, is to live it over and over...
to ask for forgiveness, puts it to its death!
(cacti and thorn baggage...never claimed)
My mind can go off in several directions, everytime I read it!
So, depending on how many times I sit here and read it...why, I outta have about ten poems in the making all at once!
Outstanding performance, John!
Love and Peace~

these words of selfless 'giving' for freeing oneself from
yesterday's pain and for giving a human error and accepting
what the heart knows is true. that is beautiful words to
ponder this day and take to heart!
I feel the pain, sorrow, and rhythm of your heart beat as it rebounds to the boundless, excitement, and expectation of love. What Michaelangelo did with his wondrous painting of the Sistine Ceiling, my brother you have done with words. Peace!!!
There's a fine musicality to this one - ornate noted words on love and forgiving/forgotten - some of the most serenly hand-tooled words and play on words and images I've ever read;everything from stars to desert craters & canyons and sanded sunsets. Hell, I'd like to hang-out wherever it is you receive your initial inspiration to write this stuff....
good luck and more, michael
Precious words John. This one is a classic if there ever was one. It is a soulful repast that tastes so good each time the thought moves.
Love and blessings!

Stunning, I always seem to say "oh man this is stunning" outloud to your poems.. Every stanza is so rich and meaningful, the rhyme and metre is perfection, matching such delicate <-- not quite the word I'm looking for, but delicate and gentle words...
Totally Awesome, the feeling of longing and yearning makes me want to cry and that very last verse blew me away. You've done it again, magician of words!
John, once again you write a beautiful romantic poem and paint a picture that will stay with me always. I think this is one of my favorites of yours. Love, Bonnie
For giving you should be blessed, because you have parted with something that belonged to you so it canbelong to someone that need's it more.
Forgiving, you should be blessed, because you will forget the abuse and no dwell in emotional injury.
It all will fall upon your name.
You don't often write in metered rhyme, John, but this somehow suits you very well. The rhyme only adds to its beauty. And isn't that how the mind works as well? ...all that milenation taking memories and pocketing them in organized lines-- sometimes lost upon the reader? But the cadence of the piece gently rocks my mind into a state of relaxation and remembering. It's a soft poem of intraspection and contemplation. I love-love the last stanza-- the separation of 'for' and 'give'... because really forgiving is a gift we give... and the last phrase is beautifully visual, with a hint of something more... the implications of falling... some idioms: falling to your knees... falling for something... falling in love... falling for someone... and conjoined with "your name", you get something of a mix between all those falling implications and "bumping into" and "coming across" and "whenever I hear your name" and so many, many more idioms there is not room for them all... But you see how mixing up words like that brings a wealth of meanings front-forward in my oh-too mileanated brain.
"...for giving finds remembrance
when I fall upon your name."
And I believe it is in giving that we receive.
Your words are beautifully written, and all the moreso when read. Thank you, John

I began this review by copying favorite lines to paste and comment on, then I realized that I may as well copy and paste the entire poem. This is stunning in its composition and its meaning. Your words are so well chosen and perfectly placed. And, I love the title. This is wonderful writing that reflects divinely upon its source.
