This poem is an extract from my novel, The Mejai. It was written by one brother for another. Both of their parents had died on the day that the little one was born; so the older brother had to leave what he was doing abroad to look after the little one for a while. Circumstances demanded of them to part when the little one was only 5 years old. So the older brother wrote this JOURNEYS BACK for the little and asked him to keep it with him at all times.
No journeys back, no progress: No few steps backward no great leaps forward. Nothing is built without Journeys Back. Thoughts are Journeys Back. Knowledge depends on Journeys Back. Teachers teach but only what had been gathered from Journeys Past.
