A selection of random thoughts
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whose foot was originally twelve inches long?
How come women may never be wrong?
Who decides when a cup is half empty or half full?
Why do all politicians have to converse in bull?
Why is ‘dog’ or ‘bitch’ such a derisory term
When from them we have much to learn?
Like loyalty, forgiveness and other similar things
Are all traits lacking in many human beings.
Which brave soul first tasted a slimy snail?
Why do we discriminate all whose skin’s not pale?
Why do we no longer believe in mythical beasts?
How come we do believe our Earthly priests?
Which ancient bard said love is in the heart
When it’s the stomach that’s first to churn?
And how come after we so painfully part
Do our hormonal brains never seem to learn?
How does toast know to fall butter side down?
Why are there drug dealers in every town?
Why do our lives seem to follow Murphy’s Law?
How come we don’t care for others no more?
Why to walk and talk our young children we show
Demanding that they eat all if they want to grow
Then tell them to sit down, shut up and be quiet
And berate their weight saying they need to diet.
Why do I even worry about things like this?
I should live, like others, in ignorant bliss!
Give up trying to comprehend my fellow men
Just switch on the mind-numbing television again.
Strong questions and yet they come with no answers...We arrange our lives so that we don't have to think...then we drink and/or take drugs to hide and numb our pain...fools and dreamers are we.
Take care,
Sherry
