At first I felt like a nurse and hoped I was caring the best

But as the days went past,I feared it was the worst.

My patience went out the window with all the worry to share.

Now all I do is ponder and wonder why I care.

Why do I feel so tired? as he sleeps the hours away.

Then we sit and look at the Telly, but have very little to say.

The dreams we shared together have all gone up and went.

And light hearted laughter is well and true ly spent.

But then he wakes and smiles:I love you true ly dear!

And all the worry and losing is washed away with a tear.

So its back to loving and hoping  that he heals quickly on the way.

So I pick up my burden of caring and carry it one more day.
