I'm now learning the difference between poetry better read and that better spoken. Obviously, one that plays with the eyes on paper is better read, the ones that ebb and flow are better spoken. Of course, there are also the ones that are better sung. To me, the trick is to find that carefully crafted poem that fits nicely when read, spoken, and sung.
bravo, in your write.. I too search each poem I read for where it best fits.. and yes some of them do sing, while others are better if chanted and then for those that must stay in your minds voice it is a rear choice.... lol....
