Scoliosis of the Mind

Muddled thoughts of fusion seem to cut into my mind;

bending spine with weight of thoughts—

Decisions that are mine

Nerves slice up the back bone; while thoughts invade my mind

Deflating air within my lungs

and moving things around

If I choose to fuse my will with that of you or him,

how will it change the face of me

and all that I can do?

But I believe, if left undone, the weight of things will bend

the fragile spine that now is curved

under burden fear

Conforming, then’s the answer--Fusing will with Yours,

by gently bending curving spine

to bow o’er humble knee.
