Let the rain fall,
she asked of the gods,
so they won't see my tears.

Let the rain fall,
she asked of the gods,
so they won't see my tears.
Let the thunder rule,
so they won't hear my screams.

He took my happiness
a w a y
gave me empty promisses
instead.

He took all my strength
and
became my weakness.

Won't you let me
have my peace?
Life wasn't meant to
be like this.

Let the rain fall,
she asked of the gods,
to wash away my tears.
Then let the sun rise
so when a new day begins

I can let it all go
and be free once more.

I had no promises, just adored him and he went to love his other girl friend and i'm out, Let the rain fall....it's been 3 mo now, and tears still come... but the sun rises too, each new day is more far away from him i get in my thoughs. I'm free once more too except for the memories.

The desperation to escape humiliation and pain. We have all been there. 'He took my strength and became my weakness'...I can relate to that if not recently. Very effective lines. By the amount of work you have posted here I am thinking you must be new to the "Den". Welcome. I am already a fan. Be well, Kathy

Let it go, and be free, trusting the Lord.

I have friends from Ukraine, Valentina, Svenanna and others, and they love England and England loves them...

Freedom is priceless, yet one can't put a price on freedom.....

Powerfully emotive and meaningful, Dana. Sadly, it is a common theme on this chaotic world. You do end on an empowering note though. Thank you for sharing your sentiments. Welcome to AD. Love and best wishes,

Regis
