They danced
Across a sea of hopeful dreams
They danced
In his arms, he held her
As if holding on to a devout allegiance
To revitalize the dormant pulse
Of a disheartened nation
With Rigid confidence, he led her
Gliding across a bridge of hope
Over a tremendous sea
Filled with one school
Of God’s sea swimmers
All, at this one moment in time
Swimming in unison
To the echo of a wave-hammering tune
Yes we can!|
They danced
And he looked into her eyes
She looked into his
Both fascinated by the view of
A mirrored future
Filled with immense challenges
Yet they, together, ready to take them on
Committed and doggedly determined
Though gracefully compliant
They danced
Intent on reconstruction
Committed to love
Unyielding in spirit
Faithfully,
