To See the Sun

This was written back in 1988....the end of a very bad relationship....yes, we both lived, and I have long ago left the bastard, and moved on.

He hurt me....
he hurt me in so many ways,
from the inside out his work he did.

I lay next to him, and hate him
a bullet to his head, a knife to his heart,
how can I? when will I?

The bastard, he lives as I lay dying,
the decay of what was once thought love..
it burns my nostrils as I gasp to breathe,
the putrid air, it suffocates me.

Tomorrow, tomorrow will come..
will he see the sun rise...will I ??

I'm so glad you have left him. Not really a good feeling to be in.
