*Since you been away I've been down and lonely Since you been away I've been thinking of you trying to understand the reason you left me what were you going through......

rainbows don't last forever catch em.. while you can hold on to em in your mind watch the colors dance in your hands can't bottle a shooting star just make your wish wouldn't change it all for a thang knowing how you've been missed your laughs ran up my back tickled me cross my neck words slide in my ear and then melt silky smooth you wrapped around me touches I can't forget caught living in a dream and now I can't go back you touched me~~~ touched my lips ran finger cross my face displayed color shows where I couldn't catch my breath wrap your fingers round my neck take me higher standing there looking like an angel our bodies met you touch my lips ran finger cross my face standing here with this angel our bodies met i've been here before i know where you can walk on lakes rainfalls upside down in the middle we dance joy is falling from the sky running down my face collecting at my feet yes i know you can't stay your laugh run up my legs up my thighs touches on my lips and on my face rainbows don't last forever even dust tracks too go away joy is falling from the sky yes i know you can't stay so we dance somewhere in the middle tyme plays and we are somewhere in the middle people being born and dying people are laughing and crying children moving up the stairs some falling i held a rainbow in my hand happy and sighing made my wish on shooting stars bottles just wouldn't hold watch you read my wishes on the clouds as they unfold let your laughs play on my skin you know i need them knew rainbows didn't last forever but it sho feels good to see em'

Your 1st line grabbed me ... and I was hooked. Captivating, well written poem. Probably one of your best. I love the title too.

I just flowed right along line after line, enjoying the sensuality and romance and hunger of it all and finally taking with me and reminding myself of the simple and profound insight of your opening and closing: Rainbows don't last forever.

As I approach my 76th birthday, I endorse your message with years of personal experience: "Catch 'em while you can."

Rave review from me for sure. I think this is the best of yours I've read so far (sadly I haven't read enough). This is a classic Romance poem without the cliche mushy shit, just beautiful, rhyming oceanic emotion and galaxic metaphors for a love that leaves and left you changed. So good I could imagine some of it set to music. And even though you tend to write long, this one stays on focus without being boring; some great lines and images for sure... you are a "shooting star" out of the bottle! Can't wait to see you in a book form with pics... speaking of the photo... whoa! Is that you... (and to think you do this while raising 6 kids! puts the rest of us to shame
