From darkness light emerges To darkness it dissolves. On the artist’s palette Imagination thrives on entourage On land, air and sea Human endeavor will surge Beneath the debt For tomorrows generation Who really knows? May be In our inner states thought Can we better comprehend? The diminishing greatness of things to come The historian without history The fertile land of imagination Swallows the moment; drives the direction Follow, lead or get out; the choice is yours.

This poem is very thought provoking,and wise.Personally,(and this is just my own outlook,)I prefer to take a more sinuous direction (re the last line) as I am not happy to either follow, lead ,or get out .I prefer to just meander through (and I do)until the end or until I am actually picked up by the scruff of neck and tossed out of life's door.Following is a bore,leading is too much pressure and getting out is too darn hard.
You have painted an abstract with your palette of colorful words,I like it a lot.
