It has been said that the meek shall inherit the earth-but just how long will they stay that way?
Yes, they too have the right, all God's creatures
To exist with no hassle and strife
And just who are we to say no this can't be
Who made us the great keepers of life?
What in Hell makes us think we've the power
To dictate the laws of the earth
It's too bad that some mirror can't show us
Where we stand in true relative worth
For if ever a creature was measured
In terms of God's far reaching plan
The most arrogant, least useful creature
Would sure as Hell have to be man
And if there is any true justice
In all of God's planning ahead
Then He'll surely save all gentle creatures
And lead man to extinction instead!

Being the best individuals we can be is the key and what we are here for. The message is lost when we try to change others, before we are done working on ourselves. The world would be in fine shape if we followed the plan. thoughtful work, John.

I completely agree with this John, we've done nothing but destroyed and raped the environment and that is so sad to see. Animals that survived since dinosaur times are disappearing daily. Animals that we took for granted as children are almost memories and will not be there when our children's children grow to adulthood. The rape of the dead dinosaurs to propel our vehicles so we can go into the forests and tear them down makes me sick...But enough of my ramblings! Great poem as usual John...
