Off to the Woods I Go
July 16, 2016
Off to the woods I go
Breathing in the scent of the pine trees
And the dry leaves and branches
That crunch with every step I take
Basking in the sun’s radiant rays
That peek through the giant trees
And the cool, refreshing breeze
That gently flows around me
With a knife and basket in my hand
I forget about the troubling life
And think only of the mushrooms
That await for me in hiding
In this game of hide and seek
I always come out the winner
The basket overflowing with mushrooms
That I can’t wait to feast on when I get home

Cool breeze and radiant rays, scent of the pines.
Marveling at what gently flows around you.
Mushrooms simmer for a delightful feast. Ahhhhh!
