Greedy things,

Slimy snails

leave their trails,

throughout the garden patch,

I would chase them if I could BUT...

they're too hard to catch.

I have no legs, I have no feet,

on me...they love to feed,

I really am QUITE 'in a bind'

for... I am JUST .... a weed !

Fun to read the poem! You've got me. I thought it was a kid talking, but then I went "Ahh!!!" at the end. Great job!

P.S. I ate snails often when I was in Hong Kong. The Chinese made them very tasty. I still eat them here in Canada, but they are not made the same and do not taste the same.

Love that twist at the end. While this snail slowly ambles on to the next weed to feed, the poor weed is well rooted and can't chase after him/her nemesis… Cool… Gardening knowledge.
