Thank you Mama

Mama's Eyes
By Jim Stewart c 2007

I can still see her smiling eyes

As She looks through my white lies

And tells me, That's okay.

And I can still hear her joyful sound

As she tell me my ship is bound

To come in one day.

And of all the joyful noises heard

I just wish for one more word from her

Would fill my day.

And as I go through the night

She would be my guiding light

And help me along the way.

And as these twilight hours end

Nothing can bring her back again

But  that's okay

 It's a brand new day

I know the longing for my Mother comes upon me sometimes. She always seemed to make everything alright. She raised me the best she knew how. Was somewhat strict for my benefit though. Always helped with the 4 children when needed. I love her still though she has gone to heaven.
