A deep dread of the unknown enters...
The unknown can be unsettling for anyone. Some feel its torment and do recoil. Others embrace the unknown as an emotional adventure, waiting for the twists and turns sure to follow. We all live within the world of emotional known and unknown and have felt the emotions and thoughts attached with each. You have written well of the fight with torment and I hope you will also write about the release of those ears.

Are you talking about nightmares, or the deepest of fears that haunt you?
An exploration of the dark side; we all know from whence it comes, we just don't know the when and where of its departure. Nicely rendered. The lack of punctuation stands out, particularly because of the wanton period at the beginning of the second paragraph ? !
When I was younger, I would look at myself in the mirror morning after morning, wondering to myself how I could possibly make it another day. But with God's help, I am no longer stuck in the pit of darkness I once was. Sometimes I'm there, teetering on the edge, but thus far, I have maintained my balance and kept from falling.
Yep. Been there. Done that, Kathleen. Not so much anymore, but you can believe I spent many years fighting the demons of my dreams. I fought them back by writing poetry. Looks as though you have begun to do that also.
There is a lot to fear in a fearful world, but cheerful and optimism and wishing yourself a good dream can take you to a slumbrous wondrous place.. at least for a while. Hope that demon transforms into an angel, Kathleen! kenny
Kathy, I just had a dream the other night left me shaky when I woke up and has stuck with me for days. I wrote it out as a story and maybe I could put it under the "stories" section . I have never done anything but poetry on here so far. Guess i could give it a shot.
That last verse is exactly how I felt when I woke up out of the dream state.
