Blossoms Praying

A sweet prayer-like poem about falling blossoms and a little girl.

 

 

there's nothing as sweet as falling for a little girl in
her gardenous world, she loves the sight of us sprawling
all over the lawn, pink, white and yellow, some of us 
pierced through the heart by a stem
so green,  and eventually free by the wind, to take
the ride of our lives, we don't have much time to
philosophize about our fate, we'll all be back again
the following spring, blanketing all around

where we first and last touched the ground. Even though

the size of our worlds are usually restricted, we are both

shared and passed around as man's most loved.
