A Different Christmas
It's Christmas! It's Christmas!
Though different I'll agree
No carolers a caroling
No cutting a Christmas Tree
Staccato visions of Christmas past
Families gathering round the tree
Bright packages with shiny bows
Children shrieking out with glee
It's a Christmas carved from memories
Of what once again will be
A day when gifts don't mean as much
As you being here with me
It's a Christmas meant to reminiss
To find light within our soul
A day of counting blessings
And making gratitude our goal
It's a year to look inside the heart
Raise our glass to those we miss
Hold on tight to those we can
Take some time to share a kiss
Christmas is not about packages
Stacked tall beneath a tree
It is a time of giving of our self
To our friends and family
