It was magic for the moment

The dream almost came true

I was drinking up the bars

And counting neon stars

Until my eyes became a part of you

Then it was

Skin on skin

The music of two bodies soft and slow

And I knew I could not let go

When I lay next to you

I knew within

The magic of the moment

Was just ghost in dreaming

A dream that would not last

Only to become a memory of the past

In a room without a view

But why am I still

Wandering around

Lost inside of you?

Now I am down to

Drinking up the bars

Catching neon stars

Living all alone

And cut back to the bone

Because in the magic of the moment

I’m really not that strong

Knowing that you’ll be leaving

But at least it keeps me believing

Until some else comes along
