Reaching heights does'nt mean that
reaching the highest peak of Himalayas
not earning millions of rupees
not enjoying in ac cars and bungelows
not accumulating the wealth for five generations
not for fame nor positions
then---
Reaching heights means
mingling with the millions of destitutes in this country
giving helping hand to millions of orphans
giving a loaf of bread to millions of starved humans
seeing a bit of smile in their faces
seeing a sparkle in their eyes.
This is the transalation of my poem in telugu , an indian language penned down by me in 1998.
