In memory of LaDale White

Just when I begin  to forget how sick I am,

things come in the mail to remind me

that my time to meet Jesus is getting closer.

Oh, I don't mind so much anymore,

It's just that doctors keep messin' up my day,

Sendin' reminder notices for appointments

                           three weeks away.

Bills keep comin' in the mail that I can't work to pay,

And so-called friends who said they'd call, like uh, YESTERDAY.

But, all of this is okay, 'cause God and His angels

are fixin' me a place, and I don't have to pre-pay,

'cause Jesus gave of Himself  long ago,

He paid the all-consuming price with his body, for my soul.

So, it's really okay, 'cause I'm movin' on.

I'm not stressin' over the things I didn't have,

Or the things that I'm leavin' undone, like ...

Or people who passed me by because of my affliction.

As I spend more time at home in isolation,

                      in quiet reflection and meditation,

                                      in preparation,

earthly things have no power over me.

So it's really okay, 'cause I'm movin' on.

THOUGH IT MAY NOT SEEM LIKE IT...IT IS A BLESSINGS TO 'KNOW'...WHEN YOU ARE ABOUT TO 'MOVE ON'. A MIND SET THAT WE ALL HAVE TO TAKE ON...SOONER OR LATER BUT SOME HAVE TIME TO 'PREPARE'...AND SOME DON'T. WELL DONE. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...
