I don’t know how I got here, in this hot and humid place,
It must have been through intellect, since I’m in the human race.
I know I ‘woke with sweat, pouring from my brow,
And yet I think I’m still asleep, not in the “hear and now.”
All I seem to remember, is that song I never liked,
The one that I assigned when my temper spiked!
You know that greedy someone who complains then asks for more?
I don’t recall their name, but their actions always made me sore.
Well here I am, in this place, so hot, so dark, so scary,
It is nothing like being in my home where it’s cool and airy.
I don’t have to wonder where I’m at, I know that I’m in hell!
Do you suppose I got here when driving and talking on my cell?
I’m sure it must have happened when I answered that fear-full night.
I know I wasn’t happy, and of time and measure I lost all sight.
I picked up the cell with that awful tune, though I knew just who it was.
I should have just overlooked the music and just waited for the buzz.
So if you get that dreaded call and you know it’s not your mate.
You could end up in hell with me and that’s an awful fate.
You could crash into another car while talking and kill some others on the spot.
Remember, it’s not too late, to decide to answer that damn cell phone or not.
