Geez, I hadn't realized how long it's been since I posted. Sorry I've been slipping. Here's a ditty I composed downtown a couple weeks ago.

I don't mind a coupla buns
With some meat in the middle.
A slice of tomato and lettuce
With some cheese on the griddle.

All stacked up and melted
So it won't come apart.
Stick a fancy toothpick up top
So it goes through the heart.

Pick it up in your hands
And just squeeze it a little.
Don't you worry about
Whether the structure is brittle.

Feel the shake and shimmy
Of the slide down your throat.
It's like giving your guts
And your stomach a coat.

A waitress drops the check
While you're sitting in heaven.
An angel in a stained apron
Standing only five-seven.

She asks for a ride home
With a voice like a fiddle.
No, I don't mind a coupla buns
With a meet in the middle.

That's a cute little foxy poem, Daniel. Bouncy with flair and humor. I like those dog-on dogs too, with all the trimmings.
