not everyone has a Mom as good as mine...

Little Man is five years old. “I don’t know where to stay. The house is empty, dark, and cold, I’m all alone my mother left today. There’s an angel on my shoulder, I felt her there today. Angel sent someone big and strong, To keep me from harms way. Don’t know why she took me back, She never cared to say. All I know is when she’s here, I don’t have time to play. There’s an angel on my shoulder, I felt her there today. Angel took me to a kinder place, To an orphanage far away. Once again my life is dark, Everything looks gray. She took me to St. Louis, To a state of disarray. There’s an angel on my shoulder, I felt her there today. Angel gave me a loving family, Adopted means I’m there to stay. The war in Viet Nam rages, Much to my dismay. Many cry when young men die, My letter came today. There’s an angel on my shoulder, I felt her there today. Angel please don't leave me now, I need you here to pray. There’s an angel on my shoulder, I felt her there today. Angel rode with me at sunrise, East toward Cam Ranh Bay.
