When Moses went up on the hilltop,

To examine the burning bush,

He knew me as the Lord above,

The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Many questions he could have asked,

As he stood before the flame,

Curious enough, he asked, “Who am I…”

Then, inquired about My Name.

El Shaddai, Elohim, Jehovah Yaweh,

Almighty God, Heavenly Father, Creator of man,

Many names I’ve been called, let us just say,

“I AM WHO I  AM”

Gabriel went down to Nazareth,

A town in Galilee,

To speak to a young maiden,

Whose life found favor with Me.

’Twas my angel who told her of Jesus,

She’d be with child and give birth to a son,

He’ll be called Son of the Most High,

If upon her, the Holy Spirit could come.

Son of Man, the Carpenter’s Son,

Christ Jesus stood out as best,

After forty days in the wilderness,

The Son of God passed every test.

Lamb of God, Teacher, Master, Bread of Life,

Are names He would become,

Alpha, Omega, Emmanuel, Savior,

The list goes on and on.

A man of sorrows, acquainted with grief,

Oppressed, reviled, mocked, afflicted, beaten and shamed,

Scorned and cursed, as He hung upon a tree,

Innocent Blood, King of the Jews, by His friends, betrayed.

Redeemer, Anointed One, the Vine, the Word, the Light,

Ever loving, never sinning, always willing,

The Way, the Truth, and the Life,

Yeshua Ha’Mashiah is the Law’s fulfilling.

I Am the Lord thy God,

Who sent the Promised Seed,

There is one name and just one name,

That I alone can speak.

When Jesus Christ was baptized,

Then again on Transfiguration day,

His name was truly spoken.  The one,

Only His Daddy, Abba Father, could say.

“My Beloved Son”
