“WHEN MOM WENT TO HEAVEN”
Part of me died that day.
November 9, 2020
The day I lost my Mom.
Even though I knew it would happen,
I still lost a BIG part of who I am.
As if a huge part of me died inside.
She was such a wonderful,
graceful, loving Mom to me and
to a Lot of my friends growing up…
She always took everyone in,
So many of my friends lived with us.
That is LOVE beyond measure
REMOVED from judgment.
We were so poor, so broke….had to
Cross our fingers and toes to get
The Old “Betsy’ Ford Fairmont to start!
She worked 3 jobs to make my childhood
Better. And, I took care of her & her
Addiction. It’s crazy to me that I never
Even blamed her for it. I just learned
From it. I forgave her…we had the same
INTUITION & some how knew before
Any tragedy happened.
I knew I could NEVER leave her.
Typical codependent I was.
Despite her battle with depression,
Anxiety, Alcoholism derived from LOSS;
SHE was the ONLY ONE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE
Who TRULY BELIEVED IN ME.
My faults were always understood.
She was so supportive and there for me
Every single day Until she went to Heaven.
I am broken, sad, angry, hopeless, missing
Her voice, our daily talks, her smile,
OH, & her laugh.
Laughter BECAME our remedy!
So, beyond grace & grief, I will never
Be the same the day my sweet Momma
Went to Heaven.
I want to call her on the phone!
I want to paint her nails again!
I want to drive her around and listen to MUSIC!
I want to tell her 1 more time how
Much I LOVE HER. But she’s gone…
I am all about solutions, yet, I don’t
Have one for this devastating loss.
I feel her presence with me every single day.
That is what get’s me through the days and nights.
Still part of me died that day.
There will come a time when you must break from the pain of your mother's loss and make your way on your own, hopefully helping others the way your mother did.
