Tea with Alice

I’ll be meeting Alice for tea,

Because Alice is my bestie;

She’ll say, “Tea, or me?”

I’ll say, “You, mon amie.”

Alice has never been testy.

Lena and Selena

There once was a gal named Lena,

Who had a friend named Selena;

They went to the moon,

And were soon in a swoon,

In the Man in the Moon’s arena.

A Fellow Named Otto

There was a fellow named Otto,

Who enjoyed playing the lotto;

Though he never won,

He said it was fun,

“Someday I’ll Win” was his motto.

Old King Cole

Old King Cole was a merry old soul,

But one day he fell into a hole;

When he was pulled out,

He was heard to shout,

“I’m King Cole and I don’t find this droll!”

A Fellow Named Bailey

There was a fellow named Bailey,

Who always went to work gaily;

He whistled a song,

As he went along,

This he did faithfully daily.

A Fellow and Bigfoot

There once was a fellow named Lightfoot,

Who claimed to have encountered Bigfoot;

The smell in the air,

Warned him to beware,

That’s when he knew something was afoot.

Nelly at the Deli

There was a lady named Nelly,

Who worked at the local deli;

She partook of the eats,

Especially the meats,

Thus, she had an ample belly.

A Fellow Named Hugh Jazz

A fellow by the name of Hugh Jazz,

Does not know what is or what was;

His only assets,

Are his pet bassets,

And his music collection of jazz.

A Tired Fellow

There is a fellow named Ned,

Who wants to lay down his head;

Hopefully, to sleep,

Without counting sheep,

So tired he can’t find his bed.

Backpacking With Sigourney

When I was backpacking through Fernie,

I met a lady named Sigourney;

She is a swell gal,

She’s become my pal,

She has now joined me on my journey.
