Regis, this is an absolutely breathtaking poem/Haikus. Even in So. GA I could feel the chill in my bones and wished I could wake tomorrow and build a snowman. Thanks for doing that for me in your wonderful words.

Regis: Delightful poem as well as picture. I HATE being cold, but I love being inside on a cold winter's day looking outside at a winter wonderland. Thanks for sharing. The picture reminds of someplace I used to live when I was little. Fun memories playing in the snow. A simpler time and place.

I normally do not care for haiku, being from the old poets school of "it ain't poetry if it don't rhyme with rhythm." But, this is excellent, Regis: you just might convert me.

In the dark hours
A white wonderland is born
Clad in velvet snow

My favorite verse. Snow is quite magical as well as extremely romantic. I loved your Haikus and the picture too. I'd love to be sitting by an open window watching the snow fall, especially in a country setting.

I bet your spent endless hours writing, especially on a wintery day. (I'm so jealous!)

Beautiful write filled with the beautiful images of winter. Is that the north lights peeking through the tree on the left? Sometimes they are just seen as a greenish glow. Lucky you to be so close to the mountains!
