Soon winter's magic will be but a memory once more...

Poem Artwork

Under the influence
of snowflakes,
my pick of palaces –
amidst fingerprints
of the blinding snowstorm,
uniqueness reigns
in cascading similarity
There is no place
for ennui,
and boredom is unknown.
In the brisk exhilaration
of winter winds,
snowflake palaces
swirl out an open door –
the portal to another world –
and possibilities

WOW! THE IMAGERY HERE IS FANTASTIC! THE LAST REALLY GORGEOUS WINTER STORM THAT I EXPERIENCED WAS IN THE WINTER OF 2009 IN WASHINGTON DC. I WAS IN A HOMELESS SHELTER AND EARLY IN THE AM, WHEN I LOOKED OUT THE WINDOW I BEHELD A WINTER'S WONDERLAND! GLISTENING SNOW, UNTOUCHED COVERED EVERYTHING...IT WAS BEYOND BEAUTIFUL...IT WAS A GIFT OF WHITE, MAGICAL SPLENDOR THAT I'LL NEVER FORGET IT! I THOUGHT OF THAT WHEN I READ THIS SHARING. INDEED, WINTER HAS ITS UNIQUE TREASURES. THANK YOU, MY FRIEND. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Nothing to do with snowflakes this review, but thoughts of swirled ice cream - like it's something cold like winter and fudge swirl is so good.

Brisk! I like it! Winter is my favorite of the four seasons so this one catches my eye of course. So many just lock themselves inside and wait for it to pass. To me... winter inspires so much. Nicely done. Come see my "Enter Winter" if you get a chance. I think you'd like it.
