My dearest precious Soul Mate

What a most wonderful, magnificent, symbolic day, the day when two people come together to declare their eternal love for each other in front of God, family, and friends.  But our day is much more significant, for we waited so long before we found one of God’s greatest gifts, our love for each other. 

As we stand here, at high noon, the symbolism of our special day is represented by one of God’s other great gifts, the sun, which is at its peak.  For the sun gives us life, which is what you have given me.  The inscription on your ring reads, “you once were a dream, and now you are real.”  I used to dream about finding the woman of my dreams to spend the rest of my life with, raise a family with, and grow old together, but it is impossible for my dreams to even imagine the real you. 

Do I promise to love, honor, and obey you?  Why, of course I do.  I declare my vows for you in front of God and the one person who you know is present with us today, your daddy.  My promise to you is my complete faithfulness and honesty. 

My most significant promise to you is also symbolized by our most wonderful sun, our greatest symbol of the circle, which, as you know, represents wholeness.  I promise to spend the rest of my life doing everything in my ability to make you whole, so that you could be who you are today and who you want to be tomorrow.  A most beautiful woman, one who could have only been made by the direct hand of God. 

I promise this because that is what you make me you make me whole.  I love you.
