I had my eyes closed, meditating,
free-thinking – and I saw
the outline of a large eye, it
filled my mind’s view.
As I observed it, I saw
the pupil was a tunnel,
corrugated, and luminous
on every other facet
of its angular construction.
I walked into the eye.
And out … into space.
I was huge, bigger
than galaxies. I strode
through space, though
I had no form. I
gasped as nebulae and
solar systems galed
through my essence.
I was Mind, passing through
Time, I was “I”. And I laughed,
though I had no mouth.
I saw another eye,
and went through its tunnel,
where I was Me, once again,
meditating and free-thinking,
but, with my eyes open.
