Alas...Your search has ended...

For those of you whose poetic appetite was peeked by Linda Hunt’s extraordinarily talented recitations of ‘Something Wicked This Way Comes”on
the Lexius Commercials a few years back, and like I have search in vain for years to find the entire poem to savor...Alas, your search over.....

The Real Poem, by Ray Bradbury.....

Crystal water turns to dark
Where ere it's presence leaves it's mark
And boiling currents pound like drums
When something wicked this way comes...

A presence dark invades the fair
And gives the horses ample scare
Chaos rains and panic fills the air
When something wicked this way comes...

Ill winds mark it's fearsome flight,
And autumn branches creak with fright.
The landscape turns to ashen crumbs,
When something wicked this way comes...

Flowers bloom as black as night
Removing color from your sight
Nightmarish vines block your way
Thorns reach out to catch their prey

And by the pricking of your thumbs
Realize that their poison numbs
From frightful blooms, rank odors seep
Bats & beasties fly & creep

'Cross this evil land, ill winds blow
Despite the darkness, mushrooms glow
All will rot & decompose
For something wicked this way grows...

The great thing about the wicked thing coming is that it will make fair of foul and foul of fair. All will become but toys and there will be nothing serious in mortality. Life will be no more than a walking shadow and will burn out like a candle. Great poem.

A friend just met this kind of evil, a man, so I know all too well...what the author means.

She struggles for her life AND sanity....in hospitalS in a 40 mile radius.

Thanks for posting.....

Thank you, John, when I saw your title, one night, and then read your piece, it motivated me to write a poem. It was so great, your piece, and my inspirational reply, wish I could see more everything so clearly, like Ray Bradbury...

THANKS SO MUCH for putting this online. I was precisely the person you were talking about who had heard Linda Hunt do this poem on the Lexus commercial and was trying to get the entire poem and who wrote it. Thanks again!
