"Seized by the Perils of Poetry" took me to a trip on wings of imagination to Apollo’s Heavenly Palace, where I saw Asclepius partying with his twelve children and commenting on how the psychopolitical engineers designed his earthly counterpart as a lure for controling the throng and win their minds to servitude and worship of the son of the adulteress that is painted as the teacher of the meek and lord king of the kings. I also saw Erato entering Apollo’s chambers to tell him how pleased she was with the work of an Ambassador of Helicon in Savannah – that created “a boy out poetry” and became a Poet – qualified for the PULITZER and NOBEL’s PRIZES. That was a vision that made me reminisce the affairs of Zeus, and all connections to his name in the reality of our days’ history.
Now, after the second reading of "Seized by the Perils of Poetry" I see this composition as a symbolistical treatise of ontologic-mytheological, (MYTHOLOGIC-THEOLOGIC.) with impressinistic and surreal imageries.
It is always a stimulating and instructing time reading writings that comply with Poetry’s tasks; enrich The Major Art, and add value to the history of Poetry.
Thank You, Poet for posting "Seized by the Perils of Poetry".
In gratitude and reverent admiration.

A full blown war in the heavens resulted from the creation of mankind between brother gods, one of whom caused the deluge to erase man from the face of the earth. But some were saved, including the hybrid spawn of those prefer to cease man's existence. It is the cause of the hidden mechanisms that determine the nature of today's society. All of us have different a perspective on what takes place, but all await one and the same fate. Mankind's visions do not make any difference in the play of time; we're not a player, we're a subject of a dispute between the gods. From some perspectives the devastating truth seems more clear than from others. This is one of the first category. But the ones some believe to be the true gods, kiss the feet of the servants of the one true GOD, making the actual players subject of a higher play where there is place nor time. Thank you for creating and sharing this powerful work. Take care,

I am literally trembling, coming in on top of Margarita Caligaris (as I write this at the moment...)... but, actually, as she says, it is perhaps the total knockout quality of this poem instead that causes me to quake (sorry to be so pedestrian and plebean by comparison!!) My brain has taken a pounding for all the right reasons. Blown into oblivion, but these are, for me, your most earth-shattering lines:
I am the heat that loved your mouth
when first you tasted fire,
I am curiosity of the eclipse
looking down at Jesus and wrapping his
blood in the earthquake of my blackness...
kidnapped by a f*ck that never stops
my tongue explodes into thorns...
the moon is loving me full of madness...
we are eating our tambourines raw smoking big fat lions and
shooting
long cool breezes with a singer named God.
... Indeed you are, Aberjhani. I can say no more.
TY and bless you, Kate xx |

It is indeed a great privilege to visit a den and read a poem of this magnitude. "Seized by the Perils of Poetry" shows the readers what The American Fine Letters mean.
I have the pleasure to visit your Den tonight, and must confess that I am truly satisfied. Your poetical creations are far beyond today’s average member of the literati. Your neat-clear style can stand as reference duly etched on the golden pages of the history of Poetry.
A country that has a Poet of your caliber can let its literary flag fly proudly.
I thank you for sharing this "Seized by the Perils of Poetry".

Dearest Aberjhani, this Poetry is not for the faint of heart - it is Poetry that makes the heart stronger. Or this may be the very Heart of Poetry pulsing, with the Poet making of the Perils a blend - the elixir that makes the Heart truly powerful - to be imbibed to the very last drop... and be filled to the brim again. What a feast for the mind and the soul this is, Aberjhani. I loved every line as you made each moment and action come to life and breath within my chest. Such colorful verses with heaps of movement transport the reader into poetry. I LOVE all of this poem but these lines really scratched through the screen door and into my dreams.
"my tongue explodes into thorns
and my chest glows geometric with visions"
Masterful write, Poet!

Howl, or Keen, Aberjhani, you eclipsed me with;
'I am the heat that loved your mouth
when first you tasted fire,
I am curiosity of the eclipse
looking down at Jesus and wrapping his
blood in the earthquake of my blackness.'
I was seized with such sorrow, I could barely go on, yet, you had wrapped/rapt, me with such newly-inclusive imagery, I had to finish.
"Seized by the perils of poetry
Seized by the truth and the cock
I am seduced and bamboozled,
Seized by the perils of a resurrection gone wild
I am thrown beyond Paradise ..."
I smile to you, amid the perils of poetry, my friend.

| When I see the name Aberjhani on my computer and it says that there is a poem waiting for me to read, think about, and whip off some chosen words about it . . . I know I am in for a treat. Almost never fails that I am right in this assumption. "Seized by the Perils of Poetry," is just such a work. Art by the bucketfulls of letters all shaken (and stirred) and blessed by the black hand which is about to perform the earthquake in the form of an avalanche of down-home strut. The power of the word is never better than when you decide to grace AD with your aura. Not kissing ass here, just telling it like it . . . Well, you know. We all, from time to time, like to pose our greatness (or near greatness) in the form of a poem about the art of writing poetry. We usually fall miserably short when we attempt it, and have to content ourselves to wait for when Aberjhani decides to share his genius (yes, genius) for the written word. I agree with Regis, one reading is not enough. Saving it. |

Seized is the key word here. Your verse is alive with passion and portrayed as an artist in mad love with the spirit of life yet animated into a surreal canvas of lust. You write as Dali oft painted with a new age somotional pen.
I admire your quill as much as I admire the masters.
