Two years anniversary
Of the Boston Marathon Massacre
The bright eyed reporter
Was asking questions
Perfectly groomed, her hair, her cloths, her makeup,
The victim answered
But her eyes reflected the
Whole range of human emotions:
Joy for being a survivor;
Pride for turning her handicap into a way to help others;
Sadness for what her life could have been;
Pain for what she and others had been thru;
Sadness, immense sadness, and finally,
Forgiveness...
A great tribute to a very courageous person. I may be wrong, but I think she was a spectator at that time, and now she was a participant. I'm so glad that prosthetics are so good now that those that have lost limbs can participate in vigorous athletic activities without harm and with great skill.
Dear readers, this is my third book of poems, and inside are a special collection of what have turned out to be not only MY personal favorites, but also the favorites of many of YOU. Some of these have never been available in print before...
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
