I saw some tracks out in the snow
And something came to mind
On the many hearts we touch each day
There are tracks we leave behind

Some tracks we leave are good ones
Some are bad, but tracks the same
We need be thoughtful of our steps
For though we’re gone, the tracks remain

Tracks are merely recent memories
Be careful of your steps each day
Our deeds will always be remembered
Though the snow will melt away

It's so easy to forget the impact we have on other's lives through the footprints that we leave. Thank you for the reminder.

The message should be shouted from the roof-tops. The poem is clear and concise.

Jack,
This is so true to life. Too often people trample their way through without using caution. One day they may hit that false floor of snow and fall to the darkness below.

Great Write.

- and that is why I do not delete negative comments ... for in my heart, I feel they often reflect more negatively on the ones who post than on the one who wrote. A few here can be very cruel - thank goodness they are outnumbered by people like you.

Anyone that trespasses on the heart always leaves tracks. We all are loved by these footprints and your poem is a reminder to think about these treasures. Great Jack. I love these reminders.
Thank you also for all the kind reviews.
