That chill which you feel in your bones is real
This is not just another autumn now
An unknown door blows open to reveal
An answer to an unasked question: how
Is the unimaginable to be?
We could never bring ourselves to allow
What waited out there knocking at the door
To enter our mind but put it behind
Us out of our thought and now we are brought
To that moment all those nightmares were for
We were trying to deal with it in dreams
And though we always woke up now it seems
That this is not a nightmare anymore
Some weep to find out we are not asleep
But take heart it is time to be awake
The storm is coming: either bend or break
