I hear the hair and nails grow on the dead Between life and final preparation But then hear it is something else instead Only a part of the separation
Lying here feeling my hair and nails grow In mortuarial affinity Content to wonder I need never know Nor think about this applying to me
Content to blunder I go with the flow Of waking dream of imagination And of simply going on with the show To write as though my life depended on It since it does: and then? I will be gone
So it will no longer matter to see An answer to this or to anything No hair no nails no desire but the fire To answer the question of suffering
Deep thoughts on a deep dark night, as I read them I question my own immortality again old friend as chest and arm pain once more threaten my existance. Good write for sure.

That last stanza is the best- also the idea that one has to create, like the quote by Eugene Delacroix, "What moves those of genius, what inspires their work, is not new ideas, but their obsession with the idea that what has already been said is still not enough."
