I love the Christ of Christmas but for the rest It is simply unbearable for me now As I taste the worst remembering the best It all seems a bitter mockery somehow

May Christ have mercy at his Nativity On me as I excuse myself to my bed And not to sleep there but to weep instead

This life of ours is a tough place to be at times.
Hoping this is untrue for you, 'cause it looks like im gonna be alone for the New Year and possibly longer.I dread whats ahead for awhile.Im blessed to be here though.Hope your New Year is a happy one.

A deep meaningful poem of which only some have understanding.
We are a kindred spirit. I "know" these feelings and, because of a recent "incident," I would do the same. Other circumstances have come along so that I shall not be alone this night but your poem speaks for many. At the same time, there's nothing wrong with "getting away from the world" every now and then. I do it often. It doesn not lessen my love for J****** and she knows it. Your poem touched me deeply.
