Refraction

As beauty is in the eye of the beholder
Perfection is refracted by the judging eye

We wisen as we wizen smarter but older
Pursuing perfection albeit with a sigh
When it seems just right to me it might not to you

But see perfection each our way is what we do
Live briefly and imperfectly then soon we die
After a lifetime of looking for something true

And whether this is it or something more
As beauty is in the eye of the beholder
May we both find what we were looking for
