Playing Chess with My Cat

The tail of my cat is a rattlesnake
Tensile in its strength
Prehensile in length
Dancing deftly now he gives it a shake

On his one end a strategizing mind
Coolly focused on the game
While on his other a scythe out behind

To which it is all the same
To sweep off the chessboard or not

Regardless it always does what
My cat means it to
And always does it gracefully

But what he will do
We will just have to wait and see
