With a sharp pencil and a cup of tea One can very nearly do anything
If someone somehow could compromise me That I should be a yo-yo on a string I would cut that string by sharp poetry That compromisers come to know the sting Of the truth spoken albeit in love Though love disappointed by suffering A love tried by fire thus unafraid of Anything so embracing everything
With a sharp pencil and a cup of tea A chiseled nib and ink like coffee or Cuneiform and what was tea before One can very nearly do anything
God Bless,
Lew
A very fine poem. There is a rhythm and musicality that makes it flow.
