Merry Christmas, darlings! My suicide attempt failed; apparently I am indestructible, and this emboldens me to live the more. No more sad songs! Here's one to dance to.

Poem Artwork

Evolution Revolution

for and against those pictured within

What is it about the slamming of doors
Which characterizes bullies and boors?
What is it about the dread of it all
Which keeps us from walking down the dark hall?

A certain unevolved stupidity
Which takes delight in slamming and scaring
Belching and farting cursing and swearing
Would love to be the death of you and me

So lock up the doors the bullies and boors
And know the world is not theirs but is mine and yours
The world is wise and it belongs to us
However hard the unevolved might fight and fuss

So duck 'em and buck 'em and f*** 'em and never you mind:
Rear up on those hind legs of yours and leave the apes behind!

Don't. KILL. yourself. PLEASE!! You've got to get help; I am most concerned about you!

Steven,

I'm glad you're here. Please: no more suicide attempts. Please. I care for you, if no one else does. Your poetry reveals you as a compassionate soul; why can't you see the goodness in you?

Lew said it best: it takes courage. Bravery. To live when all conspires to kill you. You are brave.

Let me tell you something. I was not expected to live past birth. I was given a death sentence. The doctors flat out told my Mom that my twin sister and I would not live. We were given last rights.

48 years later, here we are, by the Grace of God. Every day that we wake up is a miracle. I'm grateful for every day given, even though many of them are the schits. Know what I mean? There's a reason I'm here, don't know what it is, but I'm not going to hasten my end. There's more to look forward to. I don't want to die before going to Alaska and seeing the Northern Lights. I don't want to die before seeing another book of poetry published.

'Course, who am I? It's not up to me. When God decides my time is up, that's it. But not going to give up before.

Love you, Steven. Mean it. If you need to talk, please message board me. I'll answer.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Keep living Steve and keep writing. I love you stuff.
Suicide is for Chickens. Living life to its fullest no matter what life brings for the brave. I say you are brave. Don't prove me wrong.
God Bless you my friend and Merry Christmas!
Lew
