All hesitation falls away from me
As I grab life with hungry hands to hold
And welcome you to my insanity
This story which must be shown and not told
Since telling is only for vanity
Nor would I conspire to be vain in vain
So I will make this place a sacred space
Where the now will always be the somehow
And bloom like the rose where everyone knows
The lotus unfolds in a public place
Where secrets of the somehow are the now
And right in front of everyone: love grows
I turn to you and will not turn from pain
The lotus is here to unfold again
Mary Angela Nangini's poems celebrate the richness of life and love. From the city to cottage-country and the roads in between, Nangini explores the changing seasons of her varied region. (This book will soon be reprinted in hard cover.)
