The Existentialist for Lucky The existentialist always laughs last Because he has nothing and all the rest Is his The existentialist always laughs best Because he has no future and no past The existentialist need only be Which is The hardest part of being one for me Or another being being has kissed Looking for meaning or reality Like this A momentary existentialist Startled in a moment of existence A kiss From the universe for my persistence The existentialist always laughs now Because he has no future and no past And having had nothing and all the rest I can have as much as I will allow My momentary existentialist! I like this, Steven. It's been a while since I've delved into such things, having stumbled my way through Kirkegaard (sic?), but I do recall that Woody Allen, a self-styled existentialist, wrote that if everything is an illusion and nothing exists, he definitely paid too much for his carpet. -gene.
