I lift my voice now in a song of stubbornness
I can do nothing more strong than to be myself
All of the words in all of the books on my shelf
Books which I have written and which may curse or bless
Now join into one mighty word which I will say
Today and tomorrow and every single day
With which I have the privilege of having been
Entrusted as (disgusted) I prepare to rise
With no in my mouth and yet with yes in my eyes
You have hurt me once but will not hurt me once more
As anyone who has hurt me knows what I mean
I break free of you now as I should have before
And did not because of something like sympathy
But you never had any sympathy for me
Say good night little Hitler: you are no one now
Your nightmare is over so your morning must break
But to hell with you and I would do well somehow
To forget about you and your little mistake
I am so sorry dear brother but I have been busy writing 2 new books that I have posted on another site. This is very heartbreaking to read Steven, and makes me think back to 1961...was I my mother's mistake that she just needed to get rid of? Maybe I was.
You have written this painfully and from the depths of your soul. But just remember dear brother, that those who abuse us, even emotionally will have much to answer for on the final judgement day.
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
Each person is but a grain of sand resting beside the sea. This thought sets the tone for Jill Eisnaugle’s latest poetry collection, Beside Still Waters.
Perhaps "..Quiet Storm" will help rekindle old flames buried and long forgotten or express the love so deeply locked inside of your soul longing to be released.
Regardless of where you may be found in love this beautiful masterpiece can be
You have written this painfully and from the depths of your soul. But just remember dear brother, that those who abuse us, even emotionally will have much to answer for on the final judgement day.
Thank you for sharing.
With lotsa hugs,
